Dr Ngwenya appointed as Committee Member for CATSA and SANEDI
Dr Thelma Ngwenya, Engineer at Mintek was recently appointed as a committee member of the Catalysis Society of South Africa (CATSA), and the South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI).
Dr Ngwenya’s appointment to these committees is a testament to her contribution and expertise in catalysis and clean environment research work. As a committee member of CATSA, Dr Ngwenya will play a pivotal role in driving catalysis work in South African academic institutes and industries.
She is passionate about advancing the field of catalysis and for her, this appointment will help to achieve this goal. Similarly, her appointment to the SANEDI Committee is an opportunity for her to make a significant contribution towards the development of cleaner coal technologies.
Speaking on her new appointments, Dr Ngwenya said that she is determined to identify the gaps that Mintek can fill and to establish a roadmap that will benefit society as a whole.
