Dr Mudzanapabwe is a distinguished metallurgical engineer, researcher, and mining professional with more than 30 years of experience in mineral processing, extractive metallurgy, pyrometallurgy, process optimisation, and operational leadership. Throughout his career, he has held senior technical and leadership positions across academia, research institutions, and the mining industry, making significant contributions to mineral beneficiation and metallurgical innovation across Southern Africa.
His expertise spans platinum group metals, chrome beneficiation, smelting technologies, and sustainable resource recovery, underpinned by a strong commitment to research driven innovation and continuous improvement.
Dr Mudzanapabwe recently earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Mineral Processing from the University of the Witwatersrand. His doctoral research focused on developing a commercially viable process for recovering chromite from ultrafine chrome and platinum group metals tailings, contributing valuable knowledge towards resource efficiency, waste reduction, and more sustainable mining practices.
