The office ensures that Mintek's technologies and solutions in the final stages of development align with industry needs and have a ready customer base. Through this office, Mintek explores various options to commercialise its products and services, including the sale of products, licensing agreements, royalty income, joint ventures for technical development, and spin-off companies.
In addition, the Technology Transfer Office actively seeks out existing technologies and solutions from the global market that can be applied in South Africa. These technologies and solutions may come from the Mining and Minerals sector or other industrial sectors.
