The Measurement and Control Division of Mintek is a global leader in developing and supplying advanced process control solutions and measurement instruments for minerals processing plants and smelters worldwide. Our cutting-edge technology delivers tangible and significant improvements in recovery and reductions in reagent and energy usage.
The Division's advanced process control solutions implemented on their speciality platform, StarCS, are designed to optimise performance, starting with stabilising base processes before optimising recovery with minimal input cost. The renowned MillStar and FloatStar Advanced Process Control systems are installed on concentrators around the world, and FurnStar has been the controller of choice for submerged arc furnaces. We also develop niche process measurement instruments to enable further optimisation, as well as for environmental monitoring.
Our specialised equipment includes devices for the measurement of:
- Free & WAD Cyanide concentration from process slurries (Cynoprobe)
- Adsorption carbon activity (CIP/CIL) (CAA)
- Adsorption carbon concentration (CIP/CIL) (C2 meter)
- Hydrocyclone underflow discharge angle (CyLas)
- Flotation slurry velocity (FloCam)
- Resin-in-pulp concentration measurement (PulpCam)
