Mintek is proud to present Mintek-Sci (Science Convention of Innovators), a symposium tailored for young researchers and serving as a key event leading up to the Mintek@90 Conference. In collaboration with SAIMM, this symposium offers an exciting platform for researchers under 35 from Mintek and other institutions, Mintek postgraduates, and postgraduate students from various institutions. Our goal is to provide a unique space for these emerging talents to showcase their groundbreaking work across diverse themes, directly aligning with the overarching Mintek@90 Conference.

Who Can Participate?

Prospective presenters aged 35 and under (as of 19 July 2024) from industry, academia, and research institutions are invited to contribute to Mintek-Sci by submitting abstracts aligned with the conference themes. In case of papers of multiple authors, at least 50% of the authors must be aged 35 or under to ensure a diverse and youthful perspective in the presentations. This requirement fosters a dynamic exchange of ideas and promotes the involvement of emerging talents in the scientific community.


The Mintek SCi Themes closely align with the Mintek@90 Conference, ensuring a cohesive and impactful experience for all participants. Outstanding papers may be recommended for presentation at the prestigious Mintek@90 Conference.
